Amanda Baron graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with BA (Hons) in Architectural Glass in 1992.

Post graduation she trained in conservation of medieval stained glass and has worked as a painter and conservator of stained glass for 25 years.

Amanda was artist in residence at Edinburgh College of Art, Glass Department, 2011-2012.

She was one of four artists to be shortlisted for the Inches Carr Craft Mentoring Award in 2017 and is Vice President of Visual Arts Scotland.

Amanda is passionate about continuing to apply traditional glass painting techniques to mouth blown glass to create work that reimagines historical processes and establishes a new audience for stained glass.
